Staff Summary
* A comprehensive rate study was completed by Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, Inc. that identified the need to make adjustments to the wholesale sewer user rates.
* A connection fee study was completed by Applied Technologies that established the need to adjust water and sewer connection fees.
* Under the terms of the agreement between the County and various Village's receiving wholesale sewer service, notification is required prior to new rates and fees becoming effective.
* The effected communities include Hainesville, Grayslake, Gurnee, Waukegan, Antioch, Lake Villa, Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Park, Round Lake Heights, Lakes Region Sanitary District, Libertyville, Green Oaks, Lincolnshire, Riverwoods, Buffalo Grove, Harbor Ridge, Lake Zurich and Bannockburn.
* This resolution provides notice to all of the wholesale municipalities and sanitary districts served by County sewers of an adjustment in user rates and fees.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the County of Lake owns, operates and maintains numerous sanitary sewer systems, interceptor sewer systems and regional wastewater reclamation facilities throughout the County; and

WHEREAS, Lake County has entered into contractual Agreements for Sewage Disposal with several municipalities within the County; and

WHEREAS, these Agreements provide for adjustments in rates and charges of the County; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary for the County to provide notice to the individual municipalities regarding any adjustment in the rates.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the municipalities of Antioch, Buffalo Grove, Grayslake, Green Oaks, Gurnee, Hainesville, Harbor Ridge, Lakes Region Sanitary District, Lake Villa, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, Lincolnshire, Riverwoods,...
