• In order to perform necessary highway maintenance, the Division of Transportation must purchase Patrol 1 general maintenance materials and services.
• Patrol 1 general maintenance materials and services may include, but not limited to, supplies such as paint, sign posts, shoulder aggregate, etc., and utility services and repairs.
• An appropriation of $815,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds must be made prior to a letting being held.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to maintain the condition of the designated routes on the County highway system, the Division of Transportation annually undertakes various general maintenance activities that utilize miscellaneous highway materials and services; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the general maintenance materials and services for 2016 is estimated to be $675,300.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $815,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the general maintenance materials and services needed for fiscal year 2016 to support various maintenance activities on various County highways, and designated as Section 16-00000-00-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the “Agreement of Understanding” between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
