R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns and operates the water systems that serve portions of the Village of Green Oaks (Village); and
WHEREAS, the County and the Village previously entered into a Retail Water Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the County and the Village wish to enter into an agreement in order to update, extend and modify their respective public water supply obligations in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the County and the Village desire to enter into this agreement to permit the Village to obtain water supply services for the Village Retail Water Service Area from the County's water systems serving the Green Oaks area; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate Agreement for Retail Water Supply has been prepared, and ratified by the Village of Green Oaks; and
WHEREAS, execution of said Agreement must be authorized by Resolution of this County Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the County Board and the Clerk of said County be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached Amended and Restated Agreement for Retail Water Supply Services by and between the County and Village of Mettawa.
