* This project will include the resurfacing of Lewis Avenue, from north of Argonne Drive to 14th Street, and from Sunset Avenue to York House Road, including the removal of a pedestrian bridge at Blanchard Road and the construction of a sidewalk on the west side of Lewis Avenue, from Blanchard Road to Ballentine Street.
* A consultant will be utilized to undertake Phase III construction engineering services.
* In accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, the selected, and recommended, firm is Ciorba Group, Inc., Chicago, Illinois, with a cost of $193,587.16.
* The County Board, at its meeting of April 14, 2015, approved an appropriation of $1,425,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds, $1,605,000 of Matching Tax funds, and $90,000 of County Bridge Tax funds for the resurfacing of Lewis Avenue, from north of Argonne Drive to 14th Street, and from Sunset Avenue to York House Road, including the removal of a pedestrian bridge at Blanchard Road and the construction of a sidewalk on the west side of Lewis Avenue, from Blanchard Road to Ballentine Street.
