Staff Summary
* Alleghany Road, Non-Motorized Travel Improvements: Village of Grayslake Agreement.
* Peterson Road, from Illinois Route 83 to Alleghany Road, will be reconstructed and widened, including reconstruction and widening along Alleghany Road north of Peterson Road.
* As part of these improvements, the Village of Grayslake desires to include the construction of a multiuse path and sidewalk along Alleghany Road, from Peterson Road to 1,273 feet north of Peterson Road.
* The Village of Grayslake will reimburse the County for their share of the construction of the multiuse path and sidewalk, estimated at $50,963, in conformance with the County's published non motorized policy.
* The Village will maintain the multiuse path and sidewalk.
* This resolution authorizes the execution of an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Grayslake which was approved by the Grayslake Village Board on May 5, 2015.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Alleghany Road, County Highway 39, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if a portion of Alleghany Road could be improved by reconstruction and widening as part of the improvements to Peterson Road, County Highway 20, from Illinois Route 83 to Alleghany Road; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Grayslake is desirous to include the construction of a multiuse path and sidewalk within the limits of the County's improvement along Alleghany Road; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Grayslake will reimburse the County for their share of the design and construction of the multiuse path and sidewalk, estimated at $50,983, in conformance...
