Staff Summary
* In 2014, Lake County Information Technology (IT) contracted with a consulting firm to complete an overall IT operations assessment resulting in recommendations including development of a Five Year IT Roadmap.
* Lake County IT is seeking professional services to develop an actionable IT Five Year Roadmap, and conduct a formal review and analysis of the services IT provides and the associated cost of those services.
* This will provide recommendations for what IT services to continue providing internally, what services should be sourced differently or shared, and what services should be shifted or discontinued. These recommendations will outline IT investment priorities based on efficiency, effectiveness and value to Lake County over the next five years.
* A Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued to identify a qualified firm for consulting services to complete the IT Five Year Roadmap and Service Catalog.
* A RFP was extended to 44 vendors and proposals were received from six vendors.
* In accordance with the evaluation criteria established in the RFP, the IT Department reviewed and determined that the proposal submitted by Huron Consulting Group, Chicago, IL is the most qualified and favorable proposal for Lake County.
* The contract includes Five Year Roadmap and Service Catalog professional services in a contract amount not to exceed $440,830.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Proposals were called for by publication for Information Technology Strategic Plan and Service Catalog; and
