Staff Summary
* Lake County is seeking to enter into a contract with a qualified firm to provide a comprehensive study to determine the feasibility, benefits, constraints and costs of consolidating public safety answering point/dispatch center or centers for the Lake County Emergency Telephone System Board (LC ETSB) and the partner agencies.
* The partner agencies are public agencies involved in public safety such as: villages/cities, fire protection districts, police departments, and other dispatch centers in Lake County that are a part of the discussion on consolidating public safety answering point/dispatch centers.
* A Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued to identify a qualified firm for consulting services to complete the Consolidation Study.
* A RFP was extended to 15 vendors and proposals were received from three vendors.
* In accordance with the evaluation criteria established in the RFP, the LC ETSB staff reviewed and determined that the proposal submitted by IXP Corporation, Princetown, New Jersey, is the most qualified and favorable proposal for Lake County.
* This award is contingent upon the approval of the LC ETSB Board on June 2, 2015.
* This contract includes consulting services for the consolidation study in a contract amount not to exceed $355,000.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Proposals were called for by publication for Consolidation Study for Lake County Emergency Telephone System Board (LC ETSB); and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, request for proposals were extended to 15 vendors; and
