Staff Summary
* The Village of Volo has agreed to enter into a three year contract with the Lake County Sheriff's Office for police services commencing May 1, 2015 to April 30, 2018.
* Lake County has been providing police services to Volo through a contract for 10 years.
* The Village of Volo has requested police services exclusively within the limits of the Village; two deputies and two squad cars for 17 man hours per day, 365 days per year.
* The hourly rate is consistent with other police contracts; the annual increase of four percent is sufficient to cover the annual costs increased incurred by the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS; the Village of Volo and the Lake County Sheriff's Office realize the need and value in the consolidation of police services; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Volo has requested that the Sheriff continue to provide police services to said Village; and
WHEREAS; the Village of Volo has requested a continuation of police services with the residential areas of the Village and with two deputies and two squad cars for 17 man-hours per day, 365 days per year during the term of this agreement; and
WHEREAS; the Sheriff or his designee shall set the hours, time, and location of those police services in consultation with the Village Administrator; the shifts worked by deputies shall overlap in the afternoon; and
WHEREAS; the County and the Village are proposing the new rate of $561,490 for Volo's fiscal year beginning on May 1, 2015, or $46,791 per month, for patrol services payable on the 15th day of each month, with a four percent annual increase for the next two calendar years, as stated in the Intergovernmental Agreement.
