On Friday April 10, 2015, the Health Department submitted our final evidence to the Public Health Accreditation Board, thus concluding a yearlong documentation collection phase. Since submitting, we have been notified of our assigned site visitors and have finalized a Completeness Review. We still intend to receive our site visit in August or September 2015. We will be preparing Board of Health members for that visit.
To date, we have seen several significant improvements to the agency:
· A measurable strategic plan linked to the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and to programmatic performance measures
· An agency wide performance management system
· Standardized quality improvement efforts in each Health Department program
· Updated policies and procedures
