Staff Summary
· This grant covers the time period of April 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015.
· This grant will reimburse the Lake County Sheriff's Office for cost of eligible overtime salaries spent on designated Federal Bureau Investigation cases up to the amount of $20,000.
· The only employees that are approved to work on Federal Bureau Investigation cases are members of the Lake County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has notified the Lake County Sheriff's Office that a grant has been awarded covering April 01, 2015 through September 30, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Sheriff's Office supplies man hours for Federal Bureau Investigation cases; and
WHEREAS, the grant must be formally accepted by the County of Lake and necessary
appropriations and approvals made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the award from the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force for the Lake County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $20,000 for the period beginning April 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015 is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Board, the Lake County Sheriff, and the Lake County Treasurer are hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation in order to accept the grant (grant program agreement to be attached hereto and hereby made a part of this resolution); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an emergency appropriation for the grant in the amount of $20,000 is hereby authorized as follows:
