* The County Board conducted two strategic planning sessions in February 2015 to review and update strategic goals to guide future action.
* The Strategic Goals are related to: Economic Opportunities, Sustainable Environment, Healthy and Resilient Communities Livability, Public Safety and Transportation.
* In addition to the Strategic Plan, the County Board developed a Statement of Mutual Expectations between Board members that maintain healthy relationships, cultivate a climate of trust and share responsibility for results.
* This resolution adopts the 2015 Strategic Plan Update and directs the County Administrator to oversee its implementation.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board held two planning sessions in February 2015 to discuss the future direction of Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the County Board has identified five Strategic Goals related to: Economic Opportunities, Sustainable Environment, Healthy and Resilient Communities Livability, Public Safety and Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the County Board now wishes to formally adopt the attached 2015 Strategic Plan for Lake County; and
WHAREAS, the County Board developed a Statement of Mutual Expectations as part of the strategic planning process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County Illinois, that the 2015 Strategic Plan for Lake County and statement of Mutual Expectations, a copy of which is attached hereto and made part hereof, is hereby adopted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Administrator is hereby directed to oversee the implementation of the 2015 Strategic Plan and to make periodic status reports back to the County Board.
