Ordinance amending water and sewer related rates for certain Lake County systems.
Staff Summary
· The Rate Ordinance establishes all water and sewer user rates and connection fees for the County's water and sewer systems.
· The Ordinance is revised periodically to modify rates and fees, as necessary.
· This Ordinance increases the sewer rate in the Countryside Manor, North Libertyville Estates, and Terre Faire areas from $42.50 to $43.36 per month for unmetered sewer users and from $5.31 to $5.42 per 1,000 gallons for metered users as a result of a rate increase by the Village of Libertyville.
· The Ordinance increases the CLCJAWA service area water rate by $0.08, from $5.83 to $5.91 per 1,000 gallons, as a result of an increase in the water purchase cost from CLCJAWA by $0.08.
· In addition, this ordinance incorporates fees related to Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG); these fees are included in our Sewer Use Ordinance, but are being added to the Rate Ordinance for clarification.
· Sewer rates for the newly acquired Kildeer sanitary sewer system are also included.
