R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake owns and operates water supply systems that serve various communities throughout the County; and
WHEREAS, older portions of water mains in the Fox Lake Hills, Highland Lake, and Vernon Hills areas require replacement due to severe deterioration; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Rules of the County Board, publication of bid requests were called for the fiscal year (FY) 2015 water main replacement project; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to 12 contractors; and
WHEREAS, two sealed bids were received and publicly opened in the office of the Public Works Department on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, R.A. Mancini, Inc., Lakemoore, Illinois, is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $1,636,005; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with R.A. Mancini, Inc., Lakemoor, Illinois, in the amount of $1,636,005 for the FY 2015 water main replacemen...
