* Washington Street, from Hainesville Road to Haryan Way, will be improved by reconstruction and widening from two lanes to five lanes, new traffic signals at Hainesville Road, new/replaced sidewalk and multi use path, sanitary sewer lift station, water and sanitary sewer replacements, drainage improvements and other related construction activities.
* The Villages of Hainesville, Round Lake Park and Grayslake, as well as Avon Township, will have jurisdiction and future maintenance responsibilities for portions of the multi use path and the sidewalk.
* This improvement is included in the Division of Transportation's improvement program.
* Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $12,375,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds and $2,160,000 of County Bridge Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Washington Street, County Highway 45, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Washington Street, from Hainesville Road to Haryan Way, could be improved by reconstruction and widening from two lanes to five lanes, new traffic signals at Hainesville Road, new/replaced sidewalk and multi use path, sanitary sewer lift station, water and sanitary sewer replacements, drainage improvements and other related construction activities; and

WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed, and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
