R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ela Road, County Highway 60, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if U.S. Route 12, at the intersection of Ela Road, could be improved; and
WHEREAS, in 2000, the Village of Lake Zurich received approval to utilize federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funding for the addition of right turn lanes on U.S. Route 12, at the intersection of Ela Road; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lake Zurich and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for said improvement, changing the Local Agency Designation for the CMAQ project implementation, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
WHEREAS, the County will oversee the construction of said improvement and provide the local share of the intersection improvement costs; and
