* Ela Road, at U.S. Route 12, Intersection Improvement: IDOT Agreement and Appropriation.
* U.S. Route 12, at the intersection of Ela Road, will be improved with right turn lanes, traffic signal modifications, and the installation of pedestrian accommodations as part of the improvement being designed for the Village of Lake Zurich's Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) project.
* The Village and the County have entered into an agreement providing for the change of Local Agency Designation for this CMAQ project implementation.
* The County will oversee the construction of this improvement and provide the local share of construction costs for the intersection improvement.
* This agreement provides IDOT will pay approximately 80 percent of the construction cost and the County will be eligible to receive approximately 80 percent reimbursement for the construction engineering cost (approximate federal share $694,222).
* This resolution authorizes the execution of an agreement with the State of Illinois for the use of Federal funds, and appropriates $185,000 of Matching Tax funds for the local share of this improvement.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ela Road, County Highway 60, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, in 2000 the Village of Lake Zurich (Village) received approval to utilize federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funding for the addition of right turn lanes on U.S. Route 12, at the intersection of Ela Road; and
WHEREAS, the Village, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersection of Ela Road and U.S. Route 1...
