Joint resolution authorizing an agreement with the Lake County Forest Preserve District (LCFPD) stating the terms and conditions for the design and construction of a multi use path along Petite Lake Road, from east of Illinois Route 59 to west of Fairfield Road, and designated as Section 10-00181-05-RS.

Staff Summary
* Petite Lake Road Multi Use Path: LCFPD Agreement.
* Petite Lake Road will be improved by widening and reconstruction, from east of Illinois Route 59 to west of Fairfield Road.
* The LCFPD and Lake Villa Township are desirous that the County include the construction of a multi use path as part of the improvement.
* A separate agreement will be executed with Lake Villa Township for maintenance of said path along Petite Lake Road.
* The path will ultimately connect to proposed township paths, south and west along Petite Lake Road, and will end at Bluebird Meadow Forest Preserve, on the north side of Petite Lake Road.
* The LCFPD will reimburse the County for a portion of the engineering, temporary easement and construction of the multi use path, estimated to be $13,873.
* This resolution authorizes an agreement with the LCFPD for the design and construction of a multi use path along Petite Lake Road, from east of Illinois Route 59 to west of Fairfield Road.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Petite Lake Road, County Highway 51, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, the LCFPD and Lake County believe it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Petite Lake Road, from east of Illinois Route 59 to west of Fairfield Road, could be improved by widening and reconstruction, along with construction of a multi use path; and

WHEREAS, the multi use path will ultimately connect to proposed township paths, south and west along Petite Lake Road, and will end at Bluebird Meadow Forest Preserve, on the north side of Petite Lake Road; and
