· The County has planted many native landscape detention areas for various projects on the County highway system that require annual maintenance and care.
· This maintenance will be done by a contractor.
· Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $80,000 of Matching Tax funds is needed.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in recent years, improvements have been completed along various County highways, including the planting of native landscape detention areas, such as:
· Petite Lake Road
· Quentin Rd at Long Grove Road
· Fairfield Road and Old McHenry Road
· Butterfield Road at Illinois Route 176
· Butterfield Road between Illinois Route 176 and Lake Street; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the native landscape detention areas along these County highways are properly maintained; and
WHEREAS, the native landscape inspection and maintenance will be completed by contractors; and
WHEREAS, before a letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $80,000 of Matching Tax funds for the maintenance of the native landscape along various County highways, and designated as Section 15-00000-14-GM.
