* The County maintains the landscape, including trees and shrubs, on various projects on the County highway system that require annual maintenance and care.
* This maintenance will be done by a contractor.
* Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $80,000 of Matching Tax funds is needed.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Washington Street, County Highway 45, Fairfield Road, County Highway 49, Gilmer Road, County Highway 26, Deerfield Road, County Highway 11, Cedar Lake Road, County Highway 28, and Monaville Road, County Highway 55, are designated routes on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, in recent years, landscape improvements have been completed on portions of said highways including the planting of trees and shrubs, specifically at:
* Washington Street, US Route 45 to Hunt Club Road
* Fairfield Road at Gilmer Road Interchange
* Deerfield Road Bike Path at the Tollway
* Cedar Lake Rd at Monaville Road; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the landscape, including trees and shrubs, along these County highways are properly maintained; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this maintenance have been completed, and it is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $80,000 of Matching Tax funds for landscape maintenance, including trees and shrubs, along portions of Washington Street, Fairfield Road, Gilmer Road, Deerfield Road, Cedar Lake Road, and Monaville Road and miscellaneous other County highways, and desi...
