Illinois Department of Human Services - Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse - $62,829 Increase
The Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse (DASA) of the Illinois Department of Human Services amended each of the four contracts it has with the Health Department. These contracts are for the provision of substance abuse treatment, counseling, and prevention services at various locations. These contracts are for all of State FY2015, which begins on July 1, 2014 and ends on June 30, 2015. Each contract amendment has resulted in an increase to the total contract amount. The amount of the increase in each contract is as follows:
· Global DCFS increased by $3,500 from $175,000 to $178,500
· Global Child increased by $1,184 from $59,183 to $60,367
· Global increased by $29,082 from $1,454,033 to $1,483,115
· Opioid Maintenance Therapy increased by $29,063 from $310,261 to $339,324 (2 amendments)
Providing these services to the community helps achieve the strategic plan goal of "Reduce the Number of Substance Abuse Related Emergency Room Visits and Deaths".
Suggested Motion
To accept the award of the additional $62,829 from the Illinois Department of Human Services - Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, and, and if deemed necessary by the Executive Director, to recommend to the County Board an emergency appropriation or line item transfer be approved to allow for expenditure of these funds.
