Resolution amending selected Chapters of the Lake County Code of Ordinances in conjunction with the codification initiative.

Staff Summary
* During the codification process, minor changes to restructure sections, correct errors, or clarify language were made and have been adopted under resolution 15-0112.
* This resolution seeks approval to make substantive changes to selected chapters of the Lake County Code of Ordinances to provide consistency among the codified chapters, to reflect current practice and/or to add clarity.
* Minor amendments to seven chapters are proposed, five of which are Board of Health ordinances. The Lake County Board of Health approved the revisions to the Board of Health ordinances on January 21, 2015.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Lake County Board has approved the codification of the County's ordinances into the Lake County Code of Ordinances; and

WHEREAS, the Lake County Division of Transportation is proposing amendments to Chapter 30 of Title III of the Lake County Code of Ordinances that clarify the establishment of the Division of Transportation and the Office of the Department's Engineer/Director; and

WHEREAS, the Lake County Division of Transportation is proposing amendments to Chapter 33 of Title III of the Lake County Code of Ordinances that reflect current budgeting practices; and

WHEREAS, the Lake County Purchasing Department is proposing amendments to Chapter 33 of Title III of the Lake County Code of Ordinances to eliminate redundant language regarding notification requirements on business solicitations for the Purchasing Agent; and

WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department is proposing amendments to Chapters 171, 172, 173, 174 and 177 of Title XVII of the Lake County Code of Ordinances, which regulate Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems, Animals, Food Service Facilities, Swimming Facilities and Tobacco: and
