Staff Summary
· Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) has a need for a redundant microwave link to transport public safety computer aided dispatch information and 911 calls.
· The Village of Mundelein has a water tower and the ETSB seeks to utilize this water tower to mount two microwave antennas and associated radio equipment necessary for a microwave system.
· The Lake County State's Attorney has drafted an agreement and it has been approved by the ETSB and the Village of Mundelein for use of the installation of the microwave antennas.
· The Village is responsible to maintain the tower and the ETSB is responsible for all costs associated with the installation and maintenance of their equipment; all associated costs will be paid for through the ETSB budgeted funds.
