·      Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $540,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Deep Lake Road, County Highway 36 and North Avenue, County Highway 3, are designated routes on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Deep Lake Road, from Illinois Route 173 to the State Line, and North Avenue, from Deep Lake Road to State Line Road, could be microsurfaced; and

WHEREAS, this project will consist of crack sealing prior to applying the microsurfacing, applying a two-pass microsurfacing course, and applying new permanent pavement markings; and

WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed, and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and

WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $540,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the 2015 microsurfacing of Deep Lake Road, from Illinois Route 173 to the State Line, and North Avenue, from Deep Lake Road to State Line Road, and designated as Section 15-00999-12-RS.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
