Staff Summary
* The Village of Deer Park has agreed to continue the police services contract with Lake County Sheriff for a period of three years commencing January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017.
* The Village of Deer Park has requested a continuation of police services within the residential areas with one deputy and one squad car for 24 man hours per day, 365 days per year.
* The Village of Deer Park has requested a continuation of police services within the commercial areas with one deputy and one squad car for 17 man hours per day for 365 days per year.
* The hourly rate is consistent with other county police contracts; the annual increase of four percent is sufficient to cover the annual cost increases.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Village of Deer Park has requested that the Sheriff continue to provide additional police services to said Village; and
WHEREAS; the Village of Deer Park has requested a continuation of police services within the residential areas of the VILLAGE with one deputy and one squad car for 24 man-hours per day, 365 days per year; and
WHEREAS; the Village of Deer Park has requested a continuation of police services within the commercial areas of the VILLAGE with one deputy and one squad car for 17 man-hours per day, 365 days per year; and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff has negotiated an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Village relative to providing said services.
WHEREAS, the County and the Village are proposing the new rate for the patrol service will be $1,357,538 for calendar year 2015, or $113,148 per month, payable on the 15th day of each month, increased by four percent each of the next two calendar years, as stated in the Intergovernmental Agreement; and
