R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Washington Street, County Highway 45, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Washington Street is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the State of Illinois and the County as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the existing bike path along Washington Street could be improved by extending it from Atkinson Road to Lancer Lane, with connectivity to the Village of Grayslake's bike path system and the College of Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the County has been allocated federal CMAQ funds for this improvement at a maximum amount of $540,000 and IDOT administers all federal highway funds; and
