WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for Delivery Services and Storage of Election Equipment and Supplies for the Lake County Clerk; and
WHEREAS, invitations to bid were extended to seven vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from two vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, IL on August 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Shur-Way Moving & Cartage, Libertyville, Illinois is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the amount of $67,473.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a one-year contract with four one-year renewals with Shur-Way Moving & Cartage, Libertyville, Illinois in the estimated amount of $67,473 per year for Delivery Services and Storage of Election Equipment and Supplies, charging $12,815 to account 101-2110020-72560 and $54,658 to account 101-2110020-79940.
