Staff Summary
* The Village has requested that their Sewer Service Area be amended to include a 33 acre parcel known as the SAIA property.
* The parcel is located on the south side of Peterson Road, west of Midlothian Road and east of Route 83 and is proposed to be developed as a trucking terminal.
* Public Works & Transportation Committee policy requires that changes in service area boundaries be evaluated for consistency with factors outlined in the "Considerations and Principles Relating to Intergovernmental Agreements for Sewer and Amendments to Existing Agreements."
* The County has reviewed this request for sewer capacity, service area boundaries, consistency with relevant local plans and has determined that it meets all County parameters for expansion.
* Additional documentation has been provided relative to this parcel by the Village of Grayslake Economic Development Commission.
* This request was discussed at the PWT Committee meeting on August 6, 2014 at which time this item was tabled indefinitely.
* This request was placed on the December 9, 2014 County Board agenda and was referred to the PWT Committee for further consideration.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns and operates a regional sanitary sewer system which serves the Village of Grayslake (Village) area; and
WHEREAS, the County and the Village have entered into a Restated and Amended Agreement for Sewage Disposal dated April 5, 2005, which Agreement was last amended on September 11, 2012; and
