* The 2014 Annual Action Plan delineates all funding recommendations for Program Year 2014 and presents the County's efforts to further the goals of the its adopted Five-Year Consolidated Plan. ?
* This joint resolution approves the application for and accepts the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $2,467,191; the Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) Grant in the amount of $1,114,833; the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) in the amount of $197,178; and authorizes the County Board Chairman to execute the necessary documents.
* The 2014 Annual Action Plan must be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development after the County Board's approval anticipated on May 13, 2014.

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires the submission of an Annual Action Plan as application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) funding and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding; and
WHEREAS, U.S. Congress has passed a 2014 Omnibus Spending Bill that allocates U.S. Department of HUD funding; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has invited Lake County to apply for Fiscal Year 2014 CDBG in the amount of $2,467,191; HOME Grant in the amount of $1,114,833; and ESG in the amount of $197,178; and
WHEREAS, on April 9, 2014 the Lake County Community Development Commission approved the 2010-2014 Housing and Community Development Consolidated Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that the recommendations of the Community Development Commission for approval of the 2014 Annual Action Plan are hereby approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Lake County Board chair or his designee is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents to apply for and accept CDBG in the amo...
