R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois recently completed an eight year audit of the Township Motor Fuel Tax funds for 2005 through 2012; and
WHEREAS, five townships (Avon, Cuba, Fremont, Newport, and Waukegan) were identified as having math errors prior to 2009, totaling $34,621.58; and
WHEREAS, to make the MFT funds in the five townships whole, $34,621.58 will be reduced from the township reimbursement for engineering services to the LCDOT operating fund; and
WHEREAS, to make the LCDOT operating fund whole, $34,621.58 will be transferred from the 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety fund; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $34,621.58 in 214-4300010-49920 and an emergency appropriation of $34,621.58 in 269-4300030-79920 is required.
