R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Peterson Road, County Highway 20, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Peterson Road, from Illinois Route 83 to Franklin Boulevard, could be improved by widening and reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a consulting engineering firm be employed to provide Phase III construction engineering services for this improvement; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.); and
WHEREAS, V3 Companies of Illinois, Ltd., Woodridge, Illinois, are consulting engineers skilled in the provision of said Phase III construction engineering services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that V3 Companies of Illinois, Ltd., Woodridge, Illinois, be employed to provide said Phase III construction engineering services at a maximum cost of services described as $1,139,585.64 and that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute on behalf of Lake County, an agreement for consultant engineering services between Lake County and V3 Companies of Illinois, Ltd., Woodridge, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $1,370,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for these engineering services designated as Section 07-00098-17-WR.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement be administered in accordance with Chapter 605, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action providing the final contract cost does not exceed the appropriation aforesaid.
