· The Health Department has been awarded seven new grants, grant increases and other revenue increases.
· These funds have not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2012 budget.
· The new grants, grant increase, and increased revenue for the Health Department totals $1,037,582 and a complete list of the sources of these funds is included in the resolution.
Body
WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has been awarded seven new grants, grant increase and other revenue increases delivered by our Behavioral Health, Population Health, and Primary Care Service Areas; and
WHEREAS, these dollars will provide a legitimate increase in services to Lake County with no impact on local taxes; and
WHEREAS, these grant and additional funds totaling $1,037,582 have not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2012 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be fully offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $1,037,582 is hereby authorized in the Health Department budget as identified on the listing of expense and revenue budget modifications attached hereto and made part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the revenue budgets as identified on the attached listing be modified as provided by increased funding from the following:
Northshore University Health Systems - Be Well Lake County, $ 67,771;
Highland Park Hospital - Crisis Care Program, $10,000;
Highland Park American Legion Post #145 - Veterans Family Services, $ 200;
