Staff Summary
· The proposed lease agreement amends the lease that began on September 1, 2006 with a new term of six months beginning September 1, 2012, and ending February 28, 2013.
· The Child Support Enforcement Division will move to the 5th floor of 18 N. County Street upon the completion of construction of that floor, anticipated to be in February 2013.
· This lease is necessary to sustain Child Support Enforcement Operations including Suites 205 & 201 and two covered parking stalls, all located at 33 N. County Street, Waukegan, IL 60085.
· The State’s Attorney’s Office’s payments for this lease are reimbursed at 66% from the State of Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services by a Federal Fund Participation Child Support Enforcement intergovernmental agreement.
· The six months of rent for the leased premises shall be $25,168.50, payable in 6 equal monthly installments of $4,194.75, reflecting 0% increase from the last lease agreement.
· In all other respects, Lessor and Lessee confirm this agreement (effective September 1, 2012) shall replace all previous covenants and agreements, and riders. In the event of any conflict, this agreement shall control.

WHEREAS, the State’s Attorney’s Child Support Division is currently located in leased property located at 33 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, the proposed lease agreement is a sixth amendment to the lease agreement that began on September 1, 2006; and

WHEREAS, the lease agreement is for the period September 1, 2012 through February 28, 2013, at a rental rate of $4,194.75 per month, $25,168.50 total; and
