Staff Summary
· The Lake County Sheriff's Department desires to enter into a contract with Sentinel Offender Services, for GPS Web Based Electronic Monitoring Services.
· Request for Proposals were called for by publication and proposals were received and opened from three firms, on April 5, 2012.
· A selection committee comprised of staff from the Lake County Sheriff's Dept., Court Administration and the Purchasing Division reviewed all proposals and recommended Sentinel Offender Service of Irvine, CA as the firm that best meets the needs of the County based on the evaluation criteria of the Request for Proposal.
Body
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Request for Proposals were called for by publication for the GPS Web Based Electronic Monitoring Services; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication of the Request for Proposals four potential vendors registered for the RFP and three sealed proposals were received and opened on April 5, 2012; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposal for GPS Web Based Electronic Monitoring Services, it has been determined that the proposal submitted by Sentinel Offender Services is the most favorable for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a two-year contract with Sentinel Offender Services, Irvine, CA in the estimated annual amount of $190,000 for GPS Web Based Electronic Monitoring Services with renewal options, charging the costs to account #101-3008110-79940.
