· Lake County Purchasing Division extended Invitations to Bid to 64 vendors and eight bids were received that ranged in the amount of $33,924.20 - $44,900.00
· The vendor SafeSource was selected by Purchasing and departmental attendees as the most responsive and responsible bidder overall for the Court Folders.
· The contract authorizes the Purchasing Agent to enter into a two-year agreement with three additional one-year renewal options.
Body
WHEREAS, In accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for Court Folders; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from eight vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on May 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Invitation to Bid, staff from Purchasing and the Circuit Clerk and the Courts, evaluated all bid submittals and determined the bid from SafeSource to be overall the most favorable for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a two-year contract with three one-year renewal options with SafeSource, Cedar Rapids, IA, for the purchase of Court Folders in the estimated annual amount of $33,924.20 , charged to various Lake County accounts.
