WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for Informix licenses; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, an Invitation to Bid was extended to 60 vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from three vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on April 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Invitation to Bid; the staff evaluated all bid submittals and determined that the bid submitted by The Kazer Corporation, is the most favorable bid for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with The Kazer Corporation, Lee's Summit, MO for the purchase of annual support and maintenance of the existing 400 Informix licenses and the purchase of an additional 560 licenses in the amount of $183,595.48, charging $33,618.90 to account #101-1300020-71230-000-000-000-13305, $456.58 to account #101-1300020-71230-000-000-000-13410 and $149,520.00 to account #101-1102050-84030-000-000-000-11013.
