Ordinance authorizing certain amendments to the Lake County Administrative Adjudication Ordinance.
Staff Summary
· The proposed amendments relocate the administrative adjudication fines and fees into the Administrative Adjudication Ordinance, and allow the use of a range of fines in lieu of a set fine per violation.
· These amendments will assist in making the ordinance more consistent with state law and administrative adjudication best practices, establishing fairness in fines and incentivizing compliance. A corresponding repeal of the currently separate fee/fine schedule is proposed.
· Other amendments are proposed to correct minor clerical procedural issues.
