· Lewis Avenue and Kenosha Road Resurfacing: Appropriation.
· Lewis Avenue, from York House Road to Wadsworth Road, and from Illinois Route 173 to Russell Road, as well as Kenosha Road, from Illinois Route 173 to Ninth Street, are in need of resurfacing.
· These resurfacing improvements have been identified within the County’s pavement management system, and are included in the 2012 program.
· Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $3,890,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds and $690,000 of Matching Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lewis Avenue (County Highway 27) and Kenosha Road (County Highway 53) are designated routes on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Lewis Avenue, from York House Road to Wadsworth Road, and from Illinois Route 173 to Russell Road, and Kenosha Road from Illinois Route 173 to Ninth Street could be resurfaced; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed, and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $3,890,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds and $690,000 of Matching Tax funds for the resurfacing of Lewis Avenue, from York House Road to Wadsworth Road, and from Illinois Route 173 to Russell Road, and Kenosha Road from Illinois Route 173 to Ninth Street designated as Section 11-00999-17-RS.
