· The contract award needs to be expedited to complete the realignment of the Millennium and Fort Hill trails in 2012, and start the Fairfield Road at Illinois Route 176 intersection construction in 2013.
· This resolution gives the purchasing agent the authority to award the advance contract.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Fairfield Road (County Highway 49) is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Fairfield Road at Illinois Route 176 (Fairfield/176 junction improvement) could be improved to provide increased traffic capacities; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the project development report for the intersection improvement, the Millennium and Fort Hill trails will be realigned, and two pedestrian underpasses will be constructed under Illinois Route 176; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to let an Advance Contract to complete the Millennium and Fort Hill trails realignment, and construct the two pedestrian underpasses under Illinois Route 176 in 2012 to enable ...
