WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Bids were called for by publication for Natural Gas Transportation and Management Services; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, Invitation for Bids were extended to nine service providers; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from four vendors and opened in the
County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on January 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the Invitation for Bid it has been determined that the Bid submitted by Exelon Energy, Kennett Square, PA is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into and negotiate a one year contract with four additional one year renewal options with Exelon Energy Corporation Kennett Square, PA for Natural Gas Transportation and Management Services in the estimated annual amount of $373,000.
