WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided modifications to the Trade Globalization Adjustment and Assistance Act grant to the Lake County Workforce Development Department and,
WHEREAS, the total grant for Lake County Workforce Development is $12,972 and
WHEREAS, this grant is for the fiscal year October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012, to provide funding individuals certified under the Act; and
WHEREAS, this funding is expected to cover training services for workers from fifteen plant closing and lay-offs;
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $12,972 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s county fiscal year 2012 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $12,972 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the Trade and Globalization Adjustment and Assistance Act be accepted. A chart of accounts is attached.
