Presentation by the Lake County Beekeepers Association and discussion of draft amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) regarding bee-keeping.
Staff Summary
· In 2012, the Lake County Beekeepers Association presented an overview of bee-keeping to the PB&Z Committee and recommended working with staff to develop more accommodating standards for bee-keeping in unincorporated Lake County.
· Upon Committee direction, staff consulted the Association in developing draft bee-keeping standards.
· The Association will present an updated overview of bee-keeping practices to the Committee.
· Following the presentation, staff will summarize draft bee-keeping amendments to the UDO for discussion prior to Committee action on the amendments at a later meeting.
