R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Everett Road, County Highway 52, and Deerfield Road, County Highway 11, are designated routes on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Everett Road and Deerfield Road over the I-94 Tollway is beneficial to the safety and welfare to the State of Illinois and the county as a whole; and
WHEREAS, Lake County believes it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the Everett Road bridge and the Deerfield Road bridge over the I-94 Tollway could be improved by bridge deck repairs and resurfacing; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of cost for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board that there is hereby appropriated $760,000 of County Bridge Tax funds for the Everett Road bridge and the Deerfield Road bridge over the I-94 Tollway for deck repairs and resurfacing and designated as Section 11-00999-20-RS.
