Staff Summary
• The Lake County Board’s Strategic Plan identifies sustainable environment as a strategic priority with the performance measure of implementing a Sustainable Model Ordinance Engagement Plan.
• The Sustainability Programs Manager convened an interdepartmental team to develop a countywide program to highlight and promote the adoption of sustainable model ordinances locally, regionally and nationally.
• Staff have prepared an informational presentation on a program designed to catalog, assist adoption, and track the implementation of Lake County’s sustainability regulations with municipal and public stakeholders.
