Resolution amending a previous ordinance designating the voting sites assigned to the 481 voting precincts in Lake County townships.

Staff Summary

•                     After reviewing all voting sites for the November 4, 2008 General Election, a change is proposed to provide a better location for these affected precincts.

•                     Re-assigns the precincts to a voting site which has sufficient parking and space as well as full accessibility for all voters.   

Body

                     WHEREAS, Lake County has 481 voting precincts in 18 townships; and

                     WHEREAS, after a review of all voting sites, a change is proposed to provide a better location for these affected precincts; and

                     WHEREAS, precincts are being relocated to a voting site which has sufficient parking and space as well as full accessibility for all voters; and

                     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, the attached “Exhibit A” sets forth the voting site assigned to the affected precincts, which is identified by the name and location.
