· Peterson Road Widening and Reconstruction, US Rte. 45 to West of IL Rte. 83; Change Order No.2: Supplemental Appropriation
· Change Order 1 was the addition of the design of the intersection of IL 83 at Peterson Rd, formerly to be designed by the Village of Grayslake, into the County’s project.
· A preliminary engineering phase was not utilized on this project since a corridor plat is on file; however, some items, normally handled in the preliminary engineering phase, now have to be addressed.
· Design engineering costs increased due to work associated with centerline and plat of highway changes and the addition of corridor landscaping extending the new project limits.
· This supplemental appropriation of $100,000 from the Matching Tax fund is needed to cover change order #2 which totals $79,737.50.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois by prior action approved $575,000 from the CCIP and approved the contract at its meeting of August 14, 2007 for the design engineering services for the improvements to Peterson Road (County Highway 20) from US Rte. 45 to East IL Rte. 83; and
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois by resolution at its meeting of April 14, 2009 approved a supplemental appropriation of $425,000 for the addition of the design engineering services for the addition of the improvements to intersection of IL Rte 83 at Peterson Road to the county’s existing contract from US Rte. 45 to East IL Rte. 83; and
WHEREAS, a corridor plat is on file for Peterson Rd based on previous studies which took the place of a preliminary engineering study for the improvements to Peterson Road from US Rte. 45 to East IL Rte. 83; and
