* The Lake County Department of Public Works owns and operates the Saunders Road Lift Station and gravity sewer, which provides sanitary sewer service to portions of the Village of Riverwoods and surrounding areas.
* To meet current and future capacity needs the lift station, which conveys wastewater to Lake County's Des Plaines River Water Reclamation Facility, must be upgraded and the gravity sewer north of the lift station must be replaced.
* An invitation to bid was issued and sealed bids were received from six contractors for this work ranging from $7,936,226 to $11,424,465.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Department of Public Works owns and operates the Saunders Road lift station and gravity sewer, which provides sanitary sewer service to portions of the Village of Riverwoods and surrounding areas; and
WHEREAS, the pump station conveys wastewater to the County's Des Plaines River Water Reclamation Facility; and
WHEREAS, to meet current and future sanitary sewer capacity needs, the lift station must be upgraded and the associated gravity sewer pipes north of the facility must be replaced; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication of Saunders Road Lift Station and Gravity Sewer Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, Bolder Contractors, Inc. is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $7,936,226.
