Body
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board adopted the Lake County Liquor Control Ordinance for unincorporated Lake County on February 14, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the Liquor Control Ordinance defines a schedule of licensing fees, including an initial application fee; and
WHEREAS, the Liquor Control Commissioner has recognized the significant startup costs associated with establishing a new business and has determined it is to the benefit of new establishments owners of Lake County to allow a prorated renewal fee for new applicants; and
WHEREAS, the Liquor Control Commissioner recommends the proration of the renewal fee for new applicants be based on the number of months remaining in the license year; and
WHEREAS, amendments to the Lake County Liquor Control Ordinance are necessary to establish the proration of fees and related housekeeping changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that amendments to the Lake County Liquor Control Ordinance (attached as "Exhibit A") be adopted and be made effective immediately.
