Discussion of ServicePoint Project and Funding
Staff Summary
· ServicePoint is a shared client database that allows human service agencies in Lake County to track and share information to coordinate care and improve. This serves as the Homeless Management Information System, which is required through HUD Continuum of Care funding.
· Many stakeholders have expressed interest in the expansion of ServicePoint. Such expansion requires planning and policy development to assure the project's sustainability and success.
· ServicePoint is funded through several grants. In 2012, CDBG and ESG funds were made available to fund expansion and improvement of the system through training and report writing.
