Joint resolution authorizing the first amendment to the Restated and Amended Agreement for Sewage Disposal between Lake County and the Village of Riverwoods.
Staff Summary
The County and the Village of Riverwoods (Village) entered into the Restated and Amended Agreement for Sewage Disposal and Certain Special Services for the Village of Riverwoods, dated August 12, 2008.
The Village desires to amend the agreement to provide sanitary sewer service to additional parcels along the east side of US 45/IL Route 21 (Milwaukee Ave), said approximately 6-acre area is proposed for commercial development to include a Quik Trip gas station and convenience store.
Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the proposed development are being coordinated by the Lake County Planning, Building and Development Department.
The extension of sanitary sewer service to these properties will ensure continued sanitary sewer collection, transportation, and treatment to the areas of the Village to be served under this agreement.
The Village of Riverwoods is scheduled to act on the amended agreement at the Village Board meeting on October 20, 2026.
This resolution authorizes execution of the first amendment to the Restated and Amended for Sewage Disposal and Certain Special Services for the Village of Riverwoods.
In accordance with County Board Rules, the State’s Attorney’s Office has reviewed this first amendment to the Agreement prior to action by the County Board.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County and Village of Riverwoods (Village) entered into the Restated and Amended Agreement for Sewage Disposal and Certain Special Services for the Village of Riverwoods, dated August 12, 2008; and
