Staff Summary
· The Motor Fuel Tax Capital Project Program for FY 2012 was discussed as part of the FY 2012 recommended budget, and was approved in November 2011.
· Two major projects, Petite Lake Road in the amount of $3,629,200, and the Quentin Road (Rue Royal to White Pine) project in the amount of $3,665,100, were funded out of reserves existing in FY 2011.
· An emergency appropriation of $7,294,300 was requested for these capital improvements to be funded out of reserves; however, the resolution indicated that the appropriation would be made to the FY 2011 budget when in fact, the appropriation was made directly to the FY 2012 budget when the new budget was loaded.
· The purpose of this resolution is to clarify that this emergency appropriation was intended to be loaded directly into the FY 2012 budget.
· This action does not change the level of funding, the project or the use of funds.
